Katia De Juan
Senior Product Designer
Based in the beautiful Inverness, Scotland
I had the distinct pleasure of working alongside Katia during her time at Cobalt. Katia is an unparalleled product designer with great empathy, work ethic and eye for detail. We worked together on several projects to improve the ways the teams worked, with a focus on efficiency, collaboration and autonomy. I very much enjoyed our work-on-the-fly discovery sessions, and her flexibility as we put new ideas into operation.
I would have no hesitation of recommending Katia for her next product design role where she will be an amazing asset, and I hope to have the good fortune to work with her again in the future!

Katia is so wonderful to work with. She brings such positive energy to her work that it is infectious for anyone working with her. She is an incredibly gifted product designer. She digs in and gets to know the product space and the users to advocate for the best user experience. During our time working together, I was so impressed by her ability to look for opportunities outside of her team to help push and evolve our design team and product offerings. She helped transform our Pendo guides and email templates, and she utilized her developer chops to help us integrate Auth0. Katia had to navigate several internal changes during her time at Cobalt. I was blown away by her enthusiasm and desire to dig in and pivot with the changes. She is such a great teammate, and anyone will be so lucky to have her join their team.

During my time working with Katia at Cobalt, she quickly became indispensable in the Product Trio structure that we had in place, working closely with myself and engineers on multiple projects. Her intuitive grasp of design-led principles, and her ability to explain them and help us put them into practice, elevated our work beyond anything we could have achieved without her in the team.
Beyond this, Katia's personality and sense of humour helped keep the team calm and focused, even when all around were feeling the crunch. I personally learnt a lot from Katia, and have no hesitation in saying that any company would be lucky to have her working for them.
